I am the director of Kids Connection Out of School Program at Plainfield United Methodist Church in Plainfield, IN. I also help coordinate the Family Ministry programs at the same church. I have a Master of Divinity, a Master of Theological Studies in New Testament and a Doctor of Ministry in Family Ministries.

I have a passion for working with children and their families in developing their faith. I also enjoy using my skills as leader and teacher in training others in faith development. To this end, I have developed several classes and workshops that I have shared with local churches and at children’s ministry conferences.

I am married with one daughter. My family and I enjoy serving in ministry together in and out of the church building. I have officially been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and unofficially with ehlers-danlos syndrome. Some of these reflections are more about my struggles to deal with daily pain than about my ministry. However, my family, my illness and my ministry all go hand in hand and often affect each other.

I hope these reflections will cause you to think, pray, and want to learn more.
