In 2021, there were over 390,000 children in the United States (U.S.) were reported to be in foster care

• Approximately two-thirds of these are school-aged

• 20,00 youth age out between the ages of 18-21 annually

  • 25% will not have graduated from high school

  • 20-25% will experience homelessness

  • 20% will be incarcerated

  • 23% will be parents by the age of 21

  • Only 57% will be employed either full- or part-time by the age of 21

  • Only 3-12% will earn a college degree (associates or bachelors)
